How It Works
Start tracking your game in seconds
Enter Team Names
Optional but helpful. Leave blank for "Home" and "Away" defaults.
Choose Your Format
Select NBA, FIBA, High School, College, Rec, or create a custom format with your own period lengths.
Start the Clock
Tap +1, +2, or +3 to score. Use the game clock and shot clock controls to manage time.
Track Fouls, Timeouts & Bonus
Log team fouls as they happen — the scoreboard shows the bonus indicator when a team reaches the foul limit. Burn timeouts with one tap; pips show what each team has left.
Handle Halftime, Overtime & Final
The scoreboard manages period transitions, halftime, and automatic overtime. Your game state saves locally — close the tab and come back with a resume banner waiting.
A Basketball Scoreboard for Every Court
From driveway 1-on-1 to a packed high school gym
Basketball scorekeeping is harder than it looks: a game clock, a shot clock, team fouls with a bonus threshold, timeouts per half, 1/2/3-point scoring, and possession. Paper scoresheets miss plays, chalkboards smear, and rented scoreboards cost more than the gym rental. Our online basketball scoreboard runs the whole game from one screen — the phone in your pocket or a tablet on the scorer's table.
Setup takes under 10 seconds: enter team names, pick NBA / FIBA / college / high school / rec, and tap Start New Game. +1, +2, +3 buttons score. A 24-second shot clock ticks alongside the main clock. Team fouls hit the bonus threshold and the scoreboard shows a BONUS badge automatically. Undo any mistake. Save and resume. It runs offline once loaded, so a dropped Wi-Fi connection in the gym doesn't drop your score.

Frequently Asked Questions
What coaches, refs, and scorekeepers ask before tip-off
Is this basketball scoreboard free?
Yes — the online basketball scoreboard is free to use. Track scores, game clock, shot clock, fouls, and timeouts with no signup and no download required. Optional paid plans exist for teams who want cloud sync and saved rosters, but the core scoreboard does not require a subscription.
What basketball formats does it support?
NBA (4×12 min), FIBA (4×10 min), High School (4×8 min), College (2×20 min), Recreational (2×15 min), and fully custom formats where you set the number of periods and minutes.
Can I use this as a shot clock?
Yes. Enable the 24-second shot clock in the setup form and it runs alongside the game clock. Reset it with one tap on every change of possession.
Does it handle fouls and the bonus?
Yes. Team fouls are tracked per quarter, and when a team reaches the bonus threshold (default 5 fouls in a quarter) the scoreboard shows a BONUS indicator for free throws.
Can I undo a mistake?
Yes — one-tap undo is available for scoring, fouls, and timeouts. Full history is tracked so you can step back through the sequence.
Can I use this scoreboard on my phone at the gym?
Absolutely. The scoreboard is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops. Use it courtside on your phone, connect a tablet to a projector for the whole gym, or run it full-screen on a laptop at the scorer's table.
Does the basketball scoreboard work offline?
Yes. Once the page is loaded, the scoreboard runs entirely offline. Your game state is saved locally, so even if you lose connection during a game your scores are preserved.
Can I resume a game later?
Yes. If you close the tab or lose connection mid-game, open the scoreboard again and tap Continue on the Recent Matches card. Your game picks up from the exact clock, score, and foul count you left.
